MY VISIT

August 17, 2024

This was the first state on my northwest trip. I flew into Montana late at night and drove to our hotel. I then checked in and went right to sleep.

The next day, I walked around the grounds of the capitol building (but did not go inside). They were very well-kept, and the building itself was really nice! The bell was also near the capitol building, but had caution tape around it so it made it less visually pleasing. I took a few pictures and left to make a day trip to Wyoming to visit Yellowstone National Park. On the way there, I visited Night of Terror/Earthquake Lake, and the trees sticking out of the water made it look really awesome! I also saw Hebgen Lake, which had a lot of pretty flowers and little grasshoppers. Finally, I arrived in Yellowstone, and got to witness Old Faithful erupting! The water shot up a lot higher than I thought it would! I also got to see about twenty other geysers, and as much as I wanted to touch them I knew it would hurt. It was like walking through an art museum, but it was nature-made instead! It was so unreal that it didn’t even feel like I was on earth anymore. After seeing Yellowstone we drove out to our next state: Idaho.
