MY VISIT

May 23, 2025

On my way to Ohio, I stayed at a Hampton Inn in Pennsylvania for a night.

The day after, I arrived in Columbus, and immediately went to visit the Capitol Building, which contained the Liberty Bell inside of it. The building was quite interesting; there were unique architectural styles (my favorite was the “egg and dart”), and it looks different in many places, as people just kept adding on and on over many years. I took a few photos, then walked over to a taco restaurant called Condado Tacos. I got chicken and beef tacos, and both were delicious! After lunch, I drove over to the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and I really loved it! There was a butterfly sanctuary (which was amazing), indoor biomes, and lots of outdoor gardens. I got an air plant from the gift shop :). That evening, I stayed in Hotel LeVeque, which was beautiful, and ate dinner at the restaurant connected to the hotel, The Keep. I ordered the steak frites, and they were very good.

The next day, I woke up early to visit the Columbus Zoo. To my surprise, it was a lot bigger than I expected! My two favorite animals I saw were the kiwi bird and the arctic fox, but there were many others that were also amazing to experience, such as the polar bears and the mandrills. I spent hours there, and still didn’t even see it all. After the zoo, I ate dinner at Cozumel. Even more Mexican food, and even more yummy tacos. I stayed at a Home2 Suites for the night.

For my final full day in Ohio, I (again) woke up early in the morning to drive to Cleveland. On my way there, I stopped at the house from “The Christmas Story”, which was fun to see. Once I arrived there, I visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and I had a great experience. The exhibits and artifacts for the artists were very well done, and the history behind rock and roll and the scenes from different places were interesting to learn about! Afterwards, I toured the Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. Huge mansions always amaze me, for example, the Hywet Hall has a pool of almost 40 feet in depth inside the house, which is insane to think about. Anyways, I ate dinner that evening and went to sleep.

Soon after waking up on Memorial Day, I left the hotel, and drove back home. Bye Ohio!
