MY VISIT

June 23, 2023

I began my trip to Colorado by flying into Denver and taking a shuttle to Embassy Suites (also in Denver). Then we drove up to Wyoming, then back down to Boulder, Colorado. We ate at Osaka’s Ramen, which was delicious! I walked back to our hotel and went to sleep.

The next day I drove to Denver, which is the capital of Colorado, and is known as the mile-high city. I found the Liberty Bell across the street, then walked back over to the Capitol Building. Inside, I saw the Senate and the House of Representatives, and climbed up to the dome which was like a mini museum. The most interesting fact was all of the different possible Colorado names, which included Idaho!

After visiting the capitol, I drove to the Rocky Mountains National Park and hiked the Green Mountain Trail, which was super beautiful and peaceful.

Then we drove all the way over to Breckenridge, Colorado and visited Isak Heartstone, a troll, made by Thomas Dambo. I ate at a pizza place in Breckenridge too, then checked into the hotel

On the third day, I visited Red Rocks Amphitheatre (just to see, not for a concert) and drove out to the Gaylord Rockies Resort. Between that, we ate at probably the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The service was great and the food was outstanding. At the hotel, it was huge, and I spent the entire day exploring. I left early the next morning, hopped on a plane in Denver and flew back home.
