MY VISIT

March 30, 2024

Indiana was the second state on my journey to visit the four states, along with their capitals. I drove (for about four hours) from my hotel in Michigan to Indiana’s capital, Indianapolis. To me, it seemed like a pretty well-kept city! Once there, I checked into my new hotel and walked over to the Indiana War Memorial Museum, which is where the Liberty Bell is kept. Unfortunately, it was closed when I arrived, so I was not able to see the bell. In front of the War Memorial Museum is the Veterans Memorial Plaza, which has a huge obelisk to honor all of Indiana’s veterans, and I was able to take a lot of nice pictures. I then went to go see the capitol building, but it was closed as well. I figured that I would try both places the next day. It was getting late so I searched for a place to eat. I decided on this one restaurant called Conner’s, and it had really good food! It was really nice there as well. After dinner I walked back to the hotel to relax and hang out, then went to sleep.

My second and last day in Indiana. I started the day early and went back to the War Memorial Museum, and it was open. Not only did I look at the bell (which was directly right of the entrance), but I explored the whole place. It was really nice, especially the second floor, which had a very tall ceiling, stained glass, and just a really lovely way of honoring the important figures of the second World War. I also wanted to try the capitol building again, but it was still closed. I picked up my car and left Indiana to my next destination: Springfield, Illinois. Bye Indiana!
