MY VISIT

August 23, 2022

After visiting Maine, then driving through New Hampshire, we made it to Montpelier, Vermont which is the smallest capital city in the US. I checked into my hotel and then I took the elevator downstairs and ate dinner at the steakhouse attached to the hotel.

The next day, I saw the Capitol Building, which was right outside my hotel room. Before entering the Capitol Building, there was a statue of Ethan Allen, one of the most famous Vermonters. Inside the building was really nice, and I took a tour. Then I made my way over to the Vermont Historical Society Museum to see the Liberty Bell. It was in a special part of the building, requiring security access. But I did see it, and it had a plaque with it.

Afterwards, I ate at The Skinny Pancake which was pretty good, then drove to Cabot Creamery as well as Lake Champlain Chocolates. I also toured the Ethan Allen Homestead Museum, and learned many interesting facts about him. Lake Champlain was beautiful, and I hiked along the water for a while before leaving.

Speaking of Lake Champlain, I drove to Burlington, Vermont and went on a dinner cruise dedicated to Ethan Allen. Then I checked into my Burlington hotel and went to bed.

For the final day, I ate at a super delicious brunch restaurant and kayaked along Lake Champlain. I also visited ECHO, which is a very cool and interesting nature and science museum! That’s it for Vermont, bye!
